Description of:

Reading the Scientific Literature in Personality Psychology

Reading the Scientific Literature in Personality Psychology …is designed as an ancillary text for introductory or advanced courses in personality psychology.

It is different than most readers in personality psychology in (a) ensuring that a variety of different kinds of readings are included, and (b) containing a brief lesson plan that introduces each type of reading and helps students approach it. That is, rather than being a compendium of readings from which the instructor might choose a few readings they are interested in, the focus here is on instructing students how to read in the scientific literature, rather than “leaving them on their own.”

The brief nature of the book should allow professors to assign further key readings if they wish.
